The environmental graphics for CalArts’ main building are officially up. The campaign, “Art Happens Here,” puts the student at the center, naming the real (and messy) stages of an artist’s evolution in a stacked, shifting arrangement of type. The installation includes a 45 × 32-foot building banner, a three-panel triptych wall, window graphics, column wraps and banners, and wayfinding that runs from “CalArtians Enter Here” at the door to “Artists Loading” at the dock.
